The 2014 robotics season was a great season for our team as we gained a bunch of new, valuable members. Our robot also performed very well this years game, called Aerial Assist. The game involved controlling yoga balls with our robots, throwing them over a central truss and into various goals, as well as passing the ball between robots. Our robot accomplished these tasks very well, and we made it all the way to the semi-finals, placing an overall rank of 17th at UC Davis.
Our 2014 robot is made from mainly aluminum, with steel used for the more high-stress components. We have a four wheel drive system powered by two standard SIM motors, one for each side. All of the other components are powered by pneumatic cylinders.
