Penguin Empire Robotics

Penguin Empire is a FIRST Robotics team based at San Marin High School in Novato, California. Established in 2007, we are a group of dedicated high school students who design, build, and program robots that will compete in competitions on a global scale. Our team has won multiple awards, including the Sacramento Regional Innovation in Control Award and placed second in the 2017 CalGames competition. We reached the semifinals at the 2019 Sacramento Regional and went on to the 2019 FIRST Championship in Houston. In our 2022 season we won the Rockwell Automation Creativity Award at the Sacramento and San Francisco Regionals. In 2023, we made it to Semis in the Central Valley Regional and placed 3rd overall. In the 2023 Sacramento Regional we were Ranked 4th after qualifiers, and made it to Finals in Alliance two. We then got a Wildcard spot and will be Competing in FIRST Championship in April.

We're going to Houston!

After placing 4th in the Sacramento Regional, and making it to finals in Alliance 2, qualified for the Wild Card and will be going to World Championships at the George Brown Convention Center in Houston Texas. We broke our 14-year streak making it to finals this year, and we are so excited to go to World Championship with our robot Cold Feet. While there, we will be competing against Regional Champions from around the globe. If you would like to support our journey to Houston you can donate through our Go fund Me by clicking the button on the right.

Kickoff 2023 - Charged Up!

For this season's challenge we are building a robot to meet the challenge. This year's sponsor is Haas so the theme for this year's competition is focused on power and renewable energy. This year during build season we are using CAD, a new addition to our skillset. For updates regarding our progress, check our Instagram!

The 2021-2022 Season
